How cool, I just discovered the video of 60x60 dance project made with my music!!:))You know about 60x60, right?
You should know than Robert Voisey as well, initiator of the project who has played our 60 seconds pieces all around the US and UK. A brilliant and enthusiastic guy thanks to whom I ended up in ICMC in NY last year, where we also hanged out a lot (we checked some cool bars, ate some good cakes and one massive, greasy pizza, saw some pretty cool performance art in brooklyn..:)))
NOW ABOUT the piece:
I made it for a course at Media Lab some 3 years ago I think..in a very short time, using Reason, Cubase and the most basic Windows text to speech program. Task was the same for that course, to make ANY kind of music which lasts for one minute. And the text goes like this:
Second. And second. Limit is minute. Seconds are passing by. It's 10 already. Another 50 left. And 49. 48. Until the minute runs out. Another 40. No, it's 38 left. Let's count some more: 36, 35, 34, 33. 36, 35, 34, 33. And 30 seconds left. What's going to happen now? Until the minute runs out. Until the minute runs out. Seconds are passing by. We're almost there: 12, 11, 10, 9, 8. We're almost there. Seconds are passing by. Limit is minute. Seconds are passing by. What's going to happen now? Is it? Is it? The, end?
I think best of all is this text, and this lousy voice. Totally makes me laugh.
