At the moment, due to my obsession with TEXT, words, signs etc, I am preparing a live improvisation/mix where the main and most probably the only sound material will be extracted from the sound poetry/vocal improvisation/any other pieces of strictly vocal music.
These are all excerpts from my first rehearsal
I will MIX some of the classics from the sound poetry field - Brion Gysin, Lilly Greenham, John Cage, together with other examples from XX century vocal literature such as Berio’s Sequenza for voice, and some more recent examples such as Amanda Stewart, inevitable Maja Ratkje and Jaap Blonk, Ania Walwicz, Christina Bok, etc.I made a new PD “7 track sequencer” which will allow me a great variety of looping/repeating material and it’s combinations. What I hope to achieve is a great randomness in texture by using as less material as possible. Following my previous tendencies to respect the “natural” qualities of recorded samples, modulation/procession of material will be as minimal as possible.
