Musical automata/ installation/ multichannel composition (2017)
Wasser is a musical device represented in the installation form, and multichannel composition that uses the sound of water as a main material. Water is set in motion in 6 different ways in 6 separate water tanks by using the pre-programed electro-mechanical devices. Each water compartment is amplified with a hyper-directional microphone. Wasser is a musical automata that generates sonic events in a completely organized manner and thus creates an immersive and hybrid watery soundscape. By combining nature and technology, we are delving into the multitude of meanings that the sound of water holds as a musical construct
The audience enters the room and sees in the center of it, an old speaker, radio or an amplifier (or something that resembles that). They hear the sound of water distributed over 6 small speakers plugged into the main device. The light in the back of it invites them to take a look from behind (and inside of the wooden box). Surprisingly, they realize the sounds have been produced there, on the spot.
